I believe 8.0 is supported with IA64 until the end of the year, but you need to contact McAfee support for a hotfix.
There is a technote that discusses this, but unfortunately it seems to have gone MIA.

How many Itanium Servers do you have ?
Also, what are the configuration of these servers ? I do know of a procedure where you get an Extended DAT only support but that is only per case by case basis and needs to be approved by the Product management team. Please contact your Account Manager at McAfee. He/She needs to pass on your information ( Company Name, Number of machines, Server Config, etc/) to the Product management team and only if your request gets approved, A service Request will be raised and the Hotfix URL will be emailed to you so that you can download it.
Please note that this is a DAT only support and will last only until Dec 2010. There is no way you will be able to extend it beyond that and this does not entitle you for any other support except for DATs. You will have to contact your Account manager for the pricing details.
I have 5 servers running DB. Do you have any link to the technote mentioned by Mal09 in the earlier reply? It will be helpful to convince my management, thanks.
