    Virusscan 6.00.0 for Unix:  scanning four times slower than previous version

      I've time the old and the new version of virusscan for unix

       

       

      Old version:

      real    0m16.795s

      The new version (6.00.0) is four times slower than 5.30.0

       

      The only reason seems to be the reading fo the virusdefinitions since the difference also shows when you only use the --version option.

      This difference (four times slower) is reproducible on other systems as well.

       

      Any ideas?
