Okay the plot thickens.
ONLY my repository on the EPO Server is working
Any client pc that tries to get from any other repository gets the error
I've even deleted the content on the dist. repository and ran a "full replication"
The files are 100% the same between the EPO server and the dist. repository (at least in the vscandat1000 directory)
So I'm at a loss as to why all the repositories fail claiming that the DAT is not in the repository
I see nothing on McAfee's KB (in regards to: DAT not being found. There's lots with products not being found, but nothing with DAT)
My tip is to designate one remote repository as "local" - i.e. not distributed - (while disabling that one temporarily in the list of distributed repositories), and mirror it in a different fashion. Define a repository that matches the physical one's properties under Mcafee Agent policy - Repositories. Save it a different policy and apply to a test machine. Mirror the entire ePO master repository - by hand for example - again to this server. run a test update on the test machine that you just applied th different MA policy.
What happens? Can it update properly ?
Strangely enough, all I had to do was reboot the EPO server and now magically everything works again
Very very strange.
Okay so it's not quite fixed.
I don't know what the cause is, I've opened an SR with McAfee.
Random machines, pointing to the SAME repository will yield diff. results
Some will update fine, others will yield the above error.
That would indicate the problem is not with the repository, since some pc's can hit that repository and update just fine.
Have no idea why.
