If I understand you correctly, then you could have this same problem like your peer in thread http://community.mcafee.com/message/128340.
/by the way: are you managing your clients with ePO and do you use any ePO client task for updating? Or do you leave it to the default AutoUpdate task ? /
Thanks for the link, looks like the same problem
Yes I am managing the clients through ePO, I do have an update task set for 5am which I added my self and works at the Organisational Level, but I used to have the default 5pm update which was already set up when I rolled ePO out some time ago. It did used to use the default AutoUpdate task until I disabled it last week in the policy. I have now unticked the box again on the Disable default AutoUpdate task schedule and expected the clients to reflect the change, which isn't happening, I've tried Enforcing Policies from McAfee Agent Status Monitor and also done a wake up on all agents, still the policy isn't being set.
As I mentioned in the other thread, it looks like this function doesn't work the way you'd expect it to - it can disable the schedule but no re-enable it. I'm not sure if it's meant to or not
If you can open a case with support for this we can get it to the developers for them to look at. (If you're based in Europe then let them know that I'm expecting the case.)
In the meantime by far the easiest option is to create another task.
