When enabled, site advisor toolbar version 22.214.171.124 causes Internet Explorer 8 to have connection problems and crashes IE8 when trying to load a .pdf file.
System: HP a6245n 4 GB RAM installed
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit) SP2
IE8: version 8.0.6001.18904
Adobe Reader: version 9.3.2
Also, Site Advisor toolbar take up its own line, when enabled.
We've had sporadic reports of this. I can't vouch for the problems as none of my machines have upgraded to that version yet. I suggest either using their feedback form or contacting Technical Support Chat to open a case, or both.
Did you attempt to see if this was due to some other add-ons/plug-ins?
Also reset Internet explorer to disable all add-ons and then restart Siteadvisor and mcafee releated add-ons alone and if issue persists... uninstall siteadvisor , reboot and re-install again.
Reset IE8 and activated only the McAfee toolbar.
Tried to load a web-based pdf....same problem.
Disabled McAfee Toolbar until a fix becomes available.
