Run MVT from http://mvt.mcafee.com/ and allow it to fix any issues found.
Restart the computer after MVT completes.
If you still cannot open McAfee Anti-Theft after running MVT, you will need to reinstall the program.
Note: Personal Vaults, and the data stored within them, will not be lost if you reinstall McAfee Anti-Theft. All Vaults will be available after a successful reinstall.
I will give that a try and let you know how I get on.
Thanks for the advice, my problem is resolved.
I run MVT but it didn't find any problems and I still couldn't access Anti-Theft.
So I re-installed the software and that did the trick.
