are you using the LDAP connector, or AD Connector?
It sounds like someone made a change on the directory to expire searches after a time limit - can they extend that?
Ohh Sorry my mistake... its LDAP connector only.
I could find the following lines in the log file:
LDAP logon Successful
search result = 3 (time limit exceeded)
abandoning search due to error
Directory search complete
Closing LDAP connection.
I'm not sure AD fully supports LDAP, or rather, I know it does not - it has a very "special" implementation.
You need to use the AD connector if you are connecting to AD - the LDAP connector is for proper LDAP directories, like Novell.
Its LDAP directory only. by mistake I had mention AD in my 1st post. We are using LDAP connector to fatch the user from LDAP directory.

ok, then your directory admin needs to extend the timeouts allowed for searches, or you need to perform smaller searches.
Thanx lot for ur support & hint given by u, the isue is resolved. The another task was running on that time & LDAp admin extend the timeout limit for search.
