The number of PC's listed without VSE removed is now growing, going to have to remove the patch.
Would like to know if anyone else is having the same issue.
did you also checkin the following files?
If you checked-in only the software package, this erratic behaviour could happen.check in these reports and extensions and see if this problem persists.
I'm checking in this today. we have 2003 r2 servers too. I will let you know if any issues arise.
I hadn't installed the extensions for VIRUSCAN8700.zip, but have now, the reports is the same version that was installed with VSE 8.7 Patch 2. Will monitor situation and let you know.
Well, buddy, it is not a good practice deploying a new fresh patch to any network without testing it locally and even after testing it is good waiting at least a month to put into producion. I do recommend you roll back the deployment process and pray it (the patch) hadn´t screwed up anything else on your endpoint enviroment.
Erm ok... buddy. I am currently testing it and commenting on my findings.
All my endpoints are now patch 3. that includes x86/x64 windows 2003, R2, 2008, XP, Vista & 7. So far, everything seems to be working fine.
I'm bit surprised to see that your reports are the same as patch 2. Mine was different. But I cannot swear since I dont exactly remember if I ever used the reports from patch 2.
product deployment without correct extensions has made my life miserable in the past. But these updated extensions really do make life easier :-)
The reports for patch 3 are 188.8.131.52 (patch 2 is 184.108.40.206) maybe you should try reinstalling them.
Your right, have installed reports now. Everything seems to have settled down since deploying patch 3, will see how it goes...
