please check, that if the computers are ePO managed, the client update task that applies to them is not scheduled to run "At Startup" and OAS General policies does not have "Processes on enable" set.
I have checked the scheduled task for updating task and It done daily at precice time. We have also choosen if the task is missed, then it is run 59 minutes delayed.
But I have checked and saw that Processes on enable were marked. Now I have unmarked this settings. Can you please tell me what are the advanteges and disadvanteges of this processes on enable?
with best regards,
the Processes on enable means that oonce the McShield service starts, it scans the process memory, the loaded processes along with any child processes. The benefit of it is to detect any possible malware that might have been loaded before Mcshield. The drawback could be some additional time until Mcshield is really ready for scanning files, also, it might interfere with some process.
Do doublecheck one problem host after this option was disabled to see if it means any speed gain during bootup.
