ALL / ANY exclusions can be found using KnowledgeBase article KB66909 - VirusScan Enterprise exclusions (Master Article)
This article has all necessary exclusions and tweaks listed by software / hardware.
Unfortunately that KB article mentions nothing (that I can see) about EPO/McAfee agent exclusions or excluding the .DAT files themselves.
I know for a fact that with VSE 8.5 and EPO 3.6 you had to exclude the EPO Agent directory otherwise you'd hit 100% CPU utilization when it tried to update the DAT files.
There's on recommended settings for EPO/VSE that I see in there. Just a section on how to setup the exclusions (not WHAT to exclude) for EPO/VSE.
I recall the information you mentioned (excluding the Task directory under EPO comes to mind), otherwise 100% CPU could occur.
I'll go through some old email correspondence later and see if I can find a technote reference that still exists.
I am aware ePO 3.x required a number of solutions, to date no such exclusions have been deemed necessary for ePO 4.x.
