    USB Bios Handback

      Anyone have success with this? I've added mine to the install set but the keyboard and mouse are still locking up at preboot after the machines are encrypted. It's happening with mostly the HP Pavilion series. HP dv6449, dv9000, dv6400 all with phoenix bios. I do have an HP g60 with a insydeh2o bios as well.

      Here's my settings for the install set:

      General:

      Do not display previous user name at logon

      Disable checking for autoboot

      Enable boot disk compatibility

      Do not lock workstation if no user is authenticated

      Do not lock workstation if user is disabled

      Encryption:

      Manually select which drives to encrypt

      Files:

      5.2.3 client files (with usb.ini included for bios handback)

      tiny theme

      scripting files

      update mbr for encryption

      and heres my usb.ini (not sure if this is correct although gold support said it was ok)

          Hi,

          Just enable USB preboot support.

          I have tried this USB.ini file for my 3-4 customers & got the success to resolve their issue for machine hanging on pre-boot for new laptops.

          Just try below contains for INI file ;

          [Any]
          BiosVendor=Any
          BiosVersion=Any

          Also create new installation set with the same option as ur first post & add the enable pre-boot USb support with usb.ini file and try. Also possible then replace this file from SBFS through Wintech CD.

            So you just used the default that they have setup? I'll try another install set with what you suggested.

              Its working. Nixed the backup/recovery software as well. Was hanging the ones that did get past pba when it was loading the OS.
