    new to this please help!

      Hi! please help!

      I have FakeAlert-SpyPro.gen.a

It has been quarantined but now I don't know how to get rid of it?! I read it is a trojan at LOW risk assessment.

Can anyone please advise me? and will it be hard to REMOVE this? I am a bit of a novice at this sort of thing!

      THANKS!!

Moved this to the appropriate area.  If it's quarantined then it is out of harms way.  You can remove it entirely by opening the SecurityCenter, double-click the taskbar icon to do that.

If you have 2009 VirusScan (taskbar icon looks like a white M in a small red square) then click Advanced Menu (bottom

          Click Restore (left)

In the right-hand pane click Files and delete it there.

(Going by memory, hope that is right).

In the 2010 version (taskbar icon is a white M in a red shield) click Navigation (top right)

Click Quarantined and Trusted Items in the main menu that appears below that

and delete the item from quarantine, it will then be gone.
