Two thoughts explained in detail here
1 Try to reset Internet explorer
2. or Uninstall then reinstall Mcafee as there might have been a corruption during the install
3 call or connect to chat see the customer service links in the useful links tab above to see if they can assist.

Here is a solution,
if your operating system is XP :-
follow the path :
MyComputer->C:\ -> sysprep (Rename to sysprep)
For Vista or Windows 7 :-
MyComputer->C:\ -> ProgramFiles\Mcafee\msc\mcoemmgr.exe
when you click on mcoemmgr.exe. You will see regserver
right click on regserver, rename it to regserverold
If the above does't work along with the message let me know know your internet connection
