    VSE Clients are not updating their DAT files.

      Hi all,

       

      I am a new McAfee administrator so this may be an easy fix, but I have several clients (not all) that are not updating their DAT files past version 5381.  All other clients are updating daily via the defined update task.  I have used the Agent>Update Now option and it does not work.  I checked the Agent log and it looks like it doesnt even try to update.  I was wondering if someone knew a fix.  I have seen an article somewhere that mentioned going into the registry on the affected PCs, browsing to HKLM\Software\Network Associates\ePolicy Orchestrator\Application Plugins and deleting any old VSE version mentioned there (for my environment 8.0 is the old version and 8.7 is the new one).  This has worked on a couple PCs but not all and there are probably close to 200 PCs with this problem so its not a realistic fix anyway.  I am running EPO 4.5 (console and agent) VSE 8.7 Patch 2 with Antispyware Module.
