    Agent does not see VirusScan installed (agent plugin is registered.)

      Several Windows workstations (Xp, 2000, 7) and a few Windows server (2000, 2003) started appearing in ePO as having [blank] value in VirusScan product version.


      Checking one W2003 server it does have VirusScan 8.7 Patch 1 installed and properly updating, also having McAfee Agent 4.0 (, checking the HKLM\Network Associates\ePolicy Orchestrator\Application Plugins regkey, it does have a VIRUSCAN8700 entry and necessary subkeys in the right hand pane.


      Yet the agent does not enforce policies for VirusScan and does not seem to detect that it is installed. There is not a specific error message in the agent debug log concerning failure of policy enforcement for this plugin key.


      There could be some workstations affected that really do not have VirusScan installed, but there could be some that have but have the above issue.


      Is there a way to have the MA to re-discover installed McAfee products and re-populate the agent plugin key?
