I have had an altercation with the virus PC PROTECTAR and was getting nowhere with Symantec and Spybot. It was suggested to try your bootable Secured2K CD. I have done all the steps to create, boot, and run the CD. It worked great; found 9 more threat which I cleaned and deleted. Unfortunately when I went to boot the XP system to see the status of the virus, I now get a blue screen STOP: 7B condition on all types of boots (normal, safe, etc.). Reran the CHKDSK and reran the CD which caused the file names to be deleted so now I don't which file could be causing this. I know one of the files was a .SYS file. Any suggestions? Thanks.
As I already stated on your original thread Please post a reply to Secured2k on the thread he created specifically for that.
