                  The safest thing to do is reinstall the product.

                    Hi Smira,

                    Not sure about the registry entries causing AutoUpdate error -- I suspect that is not the cause, so repairing VSE may help.

                    • Bring up the VirusScan Console
                    • Click 'Help'
                    • Select 'Repair Installation'

                    Here is the registry entries as they are by default

                    REGEDIT4

                    ;; Windows XP SP2 or 3 Security Center

                    ;; Default values are dword:00000000

                    ;;

                       [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center]

                       "FirewallOverride"=dword:00000000

                      "FirewallDisableNotify"=dword:00000000

                       "AntiVirusOverride"=dword:00000000

                      "AntiVirusDisableNotify"=dword:00000000

                       "UpdatesDisableNotify"=dword:00000000

                    Hope this helps. Post back with results and questions.
