    McAfee EEPC upgradation from 4.2 to 5.1.x

    bhautik

      HI ,

      Is it possible to upgrade Safeboot 4.2 to 5.1.x from client side by some scripting ????

          You need to switch file-set for machine object, to trigger upgrade.

          Are you asking if that can be done from client side? Sure. Anyone can perform SBADMCL commands remotely. But you need to hide admin account credentials so the are not available for maligned purpose.

            Thnx lot..

            I had tried the SDADMCl command but not getting the result.I had created .INI file and use this file with SDADMCl command but no result..

            The INI file format as follow,

            [FileGroups]
            ; if this option is set to "Yes" all current file groups are removed
            before
            processing the files in this section. Otherwise, the groups specified
            here are
            combined with the existing groups.
            RemoveExisting=No
            ; All entries that start with a "+" specify file groups that should be
            added
            to the machine(s) if they are not already present. You can have any
            string
            after the "+".
            -bhautik= Safeboot 4.2 clietnfiles
            +suthar=Endpoint encryptio 5.1.8 client file
            ; All entries that start with a "-" specify file groups that should be
            removed
            from the machine(s) if they are present. You can have any string after
            the '-'.
            ;
            -UnwantedFiles=Useless Files
            -MoreUnwantedFiles=Even More Useless Files

            Thanks lot

              Check spelling your file-sets. They must be typed exactly as they show in EEM -> System -> Endpoint Encryption File Groups

                there is actually an "upgrade helper" script which does all the hard work for you, and keeps the user informed as to when it's safe to reboot etc. You can get it from Platinum support I guess - it's only a demo though, so it's not officially supported etc.
