You can look for reasons why the product is disabled in a couple of places -
- Windows Event Viewer | Application Event Log
- Product log files, located under \%deflogdir%
If it is McShield that is disabled, the Application Event log should be the first place to look.
McLogEvent entries with an ID of over 5000 are indicative of a problem. See what it says, and perhaps you will then know what to do next.
I solved the problem;
I installed SP3 WinXPPro, then I reinstalled VirusScan8.7SP2
