use the vbs version. Make sure you have registered the API as well.
So I am new here and a little confused
Instead of running the autodomain.exe on the server you run the autodomain.vbs and create the auto boot user for the workstations.
No matter how often or with which switch I run the autodomain.exe it does not give me any options to configure
how exactly are you trying to run it to do the configure?
I have installed the EEM (it is working great) - I have done as per the readme and created the directories and put the Autodomain files in place on the Server.
When run the autodomain.exe -configure (it does not matter what command line parameter I use) it gives me the screen - that tells me that all is fine and that if I need to reboot it is safe to do so and the window will close in 10 seconds
I tried running this on both the server and the workstation and I get the same result. - I have missed something or done something wrong. Is there more documation on how to set this up and run/configure
I am not trying to do anything fancy, all I want to do is have the workstation and current user added to the Database on the Server - Please note that we do not use Active Directory in our environment - We use Novell
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
use a command prompt and run "cscript autodomain.vbs -configure"
Forgive my ignorance but you run that on the server - Yes - and what account do you enter when prompted? (an admin account that is on the workstations?)
just follow the prompts. The admin account is one you can use for the script to do its work while it sets itself up.
you can set all this up manually you know? Just follow the readme and manual.
I am not getting any prompts
you asked in your previous post what account to enter when prompted?
what command line are you typing?
