Im using the SiteAdvisor plug-in for Mozilla FireFox, and have this annoying 'secure search' box and a 'configuration button' (or something) in my browser's status bar. How do I get rid of that ? I only want the plugin so I can see the security ratings when I search using google, and don't want it eating up or cluterring any other parts of my screen real estate.
Turn Secure Search off by clicking just to the right of the toolbar icon and selecting Search Settings. Click on the attached pic to enlarge what you should then see.
Clear the box as shown and click OK.
You'll have to close and reopen Firefox for it to take effect.

Exactly as I described. It's the same setting in either browser.

Oh, maybe it is just part of SA Plus then, sorry.
Thanx for your input tho. I did have to reinstall, denied the Yahoo toolbar and then after it was installed didn't allow secure search to be the default and then rebooted. Alas...no search bar!!! Learn something new everyday.
