    How to disable Autorun.inf or Autoplay with VSE Access Protection

      Yo Peeps!

       

      Is there anyway to disable or to prevent autorun.inf or autoplay with VSE Access Protection??!?!?!?!?!

          Assuming that you have Virusscan enterprise (8.5i or 8.7i) installed this can be achieved using the following steps

           

          1. Open VSE console.

          2. Right Click on "Access Protection" and select Properties.

          3. Click on "Anti Virus Standard Protection" and check the box for Block on the rule "Prevent Remote creation of Autorun files"

           

          You can also create a custom Rule to block files with names Autorun.inf or Autorun.exe.

           

          This can also be created from ePolicy Orchestrator and deployed as a rule across the enterprise so that this applies to all users in the enterprise.
