I have some users, I believe, that are coming down to a crawl on their PC because there are conflicting .exe programs with Mcafee's scanner. An example today, right at 4pm a user had a javaw.exe using up most of the CPU along with Engineserver.exe and Mcshield.exe.
When I checked the log, there a bunch of "Scan Timed Out" lines which include javaw.exe.
I know I can increase the scanning time but is there a way to either have VSE 8.7 not report on it? or exclude it?
Why would there be "Scan Timed Out" errors as opposed to other users in the same department being fine...?
Is there anyone that could shed some light on this...? Thanks in advance.
I would advise you to log a case to investigate the time out and address the root cause of the issue. Alternatively, consult knowledgebase article KB67732 on setting exclusions.
