Moved to Malware Discussions. No need to use all caps. Try rebooting to "Safe Mode with Networking" which will give you the internet while in Safe Mode. To do that tap F8 repeatedly while booting up, then download, install and update the free version of THIS UTILITY. Run it in that mode and let it remove anything it finds, reboot when asked. It should hopefully do the trick.
Once OK make sure that you are totally up to date with all updates, critical and non-critical.
Cheers peter i will give it a go later i will let you know how it goes
best wishes Paul
Hi Peter Paul again , bit of a ludite question here i am afraid when running the malwarebytes download will this have any impact upon my non internet normal files ie photos + music and my saved word processing in my documents
No it shouldn't. It's a utility that is used by all the reputable malware removal forums. For the future always back up your personal stuff at regular intervals...just in case. But in this case I don't think you need to worry.
Thanks pete sadly however i have just followed your instructions yet when i make it through to the reboot screen it will not allow me to access safe mode with networking. The screen fills with script and i rtn with the option return to last good connection on doing this the following error message shows on desktop
sadly malware still their would it be worth my while trying to upload the software regardless or will that just be a waste of time as it will counter against it
once again many thanks for your help and support Paul
Well all I can suggest now is either format and reinstall your system, the most drastic solution or, if you have access to another clean machine that can burn CDRW media, try one of our Moderators, Secured2k's BootCD:
