    My computer is not protected?

      My McAfee Security Center is throwing up that it needs to be updated, but when i do update it says that its fully updated....I am not sure where the issue is. Anyone else might confirm for the short time that i was installing/downloading Mcafee i got a virus and its targeting my antivirus?

          Hi,

          Can you provide the exact error message you received ?

          And provide some additonal information like;

          What is the computer's operating system ?

          What type of internet connection ?

          Have you run the mcafee virtual technician , if not run it from http://mvt.mcafee.com and post me with the session id.

            Its not so much as an exact error message its more of i am getting conflicting information

             

             

            What is the computer's operating system ? Windows XP sp3

             

            What type of internet connection ? Broadband-3mbps

              Hi,

               

              * Check whether the system date & time are correct

              * Check and delete if you have any other security software in add/remove programs and C:/program files and common files .

              * Run mcafee virtual technician from the link in my previous post , which will diagnose if there exists any problems.
