To resolve this problem you need to run the mcafee preinstall tool
The link to the tool is http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/McPreInstall.e xe
After you run the tool you would be able to install mcafee.

You try the below steps:
Re-register the Script files:
Open CMD (Start->Run->CMD) If you are using Vista/Windows 7 type CMD in search bar and, right click on CMD from the search results and select Run as Administrator.
- Type regsvr32 jscript.dll press enter button.
- Type regsvr32 vbscript.dll press enter button.
Note: there is a space b/w regsvr32 and jscript and vbscript.
Try running the McAfee Pre-install tool from the below link.
Try to install McAfee by saving the DMSetup on the desktop.
If still no go, the issue seems to be with IE you can try the IEFix tool from the below link.
You can also try to install McAfee from a new Windows user account. Let me know the status once you tried this.
