No log files are created? That's unusual... you should get an frminst_<machinename>.log, and a McAfeeAgent.msi.log. They may be in an unpredictable location - if you search the machine, can you find them?
@ Joe ... this is not unusual if the agent push itself is not happening due to permission issues ... ...
@ rsnooks ... can you check in the EPOAPSVR.log for an error that occurs whilst you are attempting to perform the push ... I assume it will give an error similar to: access denied - error 5 ...
Please provide a snippet from the logfile if you can locate the error ...
Came into work this morning and it finally managed to install.
I have queries and tasks setup to identify systems that do not have the agent installed and will automatically retry every hour.
No idea what caused the problem in the first place though... but at least it is working now
In my case, I was only able to install the agent after running a disk repair (chksdsk /f)
