    epo 4.5 and 7000 workstations > msql2005 express or msql2005 ??

      Hello .

I currently have aun EPO 3.6.1 with 7000 workstations.

I would like to migrate to EPO4.5 but witch database should I use.

      msql2005 express or msql2005 ??

Is msql2005 express efficent to work with EPo managing 7000 stations?

          Hello Arnaud,

in you scenario I would recommend to use the SQL 2005 - as a full version rather the express version. You need to keep in mind that the SQL 2005 Express has a database limitation to 4GB per database. Of course this highly depends on the amount of events that the 7000 nodes generate per day / and the ePO 3.6.1 database that you are already using but I would suggest to migrate the database first to SQL 2005 with the SQL 2000 backward compatibility mode and then upgrade directly to ePO 4.5. You need to make sure though that you ePO 3.6.1 is running with the latest patch (4 in this case) and that the requirements are fullfilled for ePO 4.5.

          Kind regards,
