    Think you have a false positive detection? Here's what to do....

      • Ensure your dat files are up to date, in case the issue has already been resolved in the current update.


      • Submit the file to http://www.webimmune.net and then contact corporate technical support with your analysis ID to have the sample escalated.


      • E-mail the file (zipped with a password of 'infected') to virus_research@avertlabs.com with FALSE in the subject line. Provide details in the body of the mail regarding your dat and engine version, and with some useful information about why you are submitting, purpose of the file and number of affected machines. It would also be very advisable to contact technical support for additional assistance.


      • NOTE - if your zipped file is larger than 3MB please contact technical support who can arrange for an alternative transfer method.
