There has to be another instance of it running. Are you checking Task Manager and selecting "Show processes for all users" under the Processes tab?
Try rebooting and starting over again.
Thanks for trying to help me .
Yes, I have checked Task Manager and stopped all possible processes that could have had anything to do with McAfee. I've also rebooted several times, stopped the processes again, but it still doesn't work.
Btw. I'm running Vista Home Premium (32bit).
It may have set a scheduled task.
click on start
type TASKS and hit enter
Now locate and delete the mccleanup
then try again..
Couldn't find a 'mccleanup'-task. Frankly, I found nothing of McAfee. Still appreciating the help, though.
This is very weird. Contact Tecnical Support Chat and let them connect with your machine if necessary.
Alter the country if necessary at top right.
Just one last question then, before I try that; does that chat-app work in Google Chrome as well?
Cheers, mate! Thanks a lot.
Sorry, I have no idea. Best switch to IE just in case.
Just a note to let everyone know that I moved this thread to the Home and Home Office General Discussion area.
Make sure that nothing is disabled in MSCONFIG... startup and services tab you will have problems removing the program if any component is disabled pertaining to the software.
Have you tired uninstalling the program from Safemode. It works for VSE, can you give it a shot.
Remoting should not be a problem in google chrome but we still prefer IE.
