    Unable to update Macfee Total Protection

      We have purchesed macfee total protection before one month , from that it showing different problems and fail to update.
      We Windows Xpnull installed on all our machines.
      Errot masseges something like this :

      1. Unbale to connect macfee total protection server

      2. Internet connection not available
      I have checked with browser setting and registry setting.
      We can reach to macfee site with IP address , but not with domain name.
      What should be the problem ?
      Please Help.

          XP SP3 I hope? You mention "on all our machines: - is this the home product you are asking about or MTP for Small Business? If the latter there is no support here as per: http://community.mcafee.com/showthread.php?t=217973

          McAfee relies on an up to date and fully functioning Internet Explorer (set to default values under Tools/Internet Options/Security & Advanced tabs), regardless of whether or not you use it.

          You should be using IE8 by now to be secure and one thing to try is go to Tools/Internet Options/Advanced and click Reset. Then click Apply and Ok and exit IE.

          Reopen it and re-enable all the add-ons under Tools/manage Add-ons.

          See if that helps.
