Is this a brand new computer?
Did you had the McAfee previously in this system or is this first time you’re try to register?
Can you provide us the error message that you get while performing the product set up (right click on the McAfee Icon in the system tray-click on product setup)
What is the version of Internet Explorer (IE)?
Its not a brand new computer, i have used it for about a 1 year now. This is the first time I have had mcafee on this computer. When I click on the product setup, it gives me a blank page. My internet explorer is 7.0
Hope you can help me out in this problem.
Please try to perform the following steps and update us on the status.
What is the operating system you use (XP or Vista)?
Did you have any issue with pop-ups or advertisement?
Try to perform the Microsoft update including the optional/patch update.
If you are using the Microsoft XP then try
Double-click My Computer.
Double-click the C: drive.
Right-click the Sysprep folder and choose Rename.
Rename the Sysprep folder to OLDsysprep.
Close Windows Explorer.
Right-click the M icon in your taskbar, and select Register or Register Now.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
I Have Windows Vista, so these steps won't help.I don't have any issues with pop ups, and advertisements, and mcafee were tryin to solve this issue as well, and updated my Microsoft items.
I feel it might be an issue with Internet explorer.

I reviewed you’re SR number and found that Tech has redirect you to the McAfee customer service for registering the McAfee manually over the phone. So did you try calling the McAfee customer service for registration?
Did you called the Microsoft tech support regarding the Internet Explorer (IE ) issue you had… If not then make sure you fix the issue with IE so that you won’t have the issue with McAfee even after registering the product through the customer service.
I told the customer service to register it manually over the phone, but they transfered me to the technical support. I don't know what's going on. They just keep me transferring over and over again. About the microsoft, their charges is too high, and that's not even the cost of the mcafee antivirus. So I don't want to pay that much for it. But I am surprised that the mcafee people are not registering it manually over the phone, and instead are transfering me to different places, like level 2 technician, level 2.5 technician. I don't care about the different technicians, but I want to get my product registered, but no one wants to help!
