not sure this makes sense - what is the problem you're trying to resolve, and what product/version/OS are you using?
What's the problem with your PE CD? I'ts not clear what "cant get that far" refers to?
Thanks, I am basically trying to boot to a PE disk and have access to my HD. The only option I have at this point is to use the "boot to floppy\image" option within SB and then to the PE CD I created. I am unable to get the boot to floppy part to work at this point, so I cant go any further (PE CD).
OS: XP SP2
why not just boot the PE disk itself? It sounds like your bios does not support ATA floppy emulation.
Just boot a PE cd and mount the drive with WinTech, no need for an interim floppy as far as I can see?
Ok, so if I have added the folders from the SB CD to the PE disk as a plugin, that should work? I was under the impression I would still have to use the floppy method first?
I am using the folder from the SB CD: Bart PE Plugin for SB 5.12. I will try it again and see what happens.
you can't just add the folders, PE is a complex beast, you need to insert the drivers into the right places etc. There's a builder script on my site which will work with AIK if you're familiar with that.
You really need to be used to PE/AIK to work with it unfortunately. It's very good, but also very complex. BartPE is much easier.
