Buffer Overflow message, Microsoft Power point

I've tried to do some research on the buffer overflow message that mcafee displays to me when I attempt to open certain things. One main issue I have is trying to insert a picture into a power point slide. I looked into disabling the buffer, but I can't figure out how to do this. I don't know what "patches" I need to download, if there is one even available, either. Are these buffer messages still problems for other mcafee users? Are there new solutions to stop them? (sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum) Thanks, in advance!
