Format a disk with McAfee Endpoint Encryption
Sep 16, 2009 10:42 AM
Need to format my laptop to reinstall Windows XP that has McAfee Endpoint Encryption running. We do not want to decrypt all the disk before formatting. Is there anyway to do this?

you need to zap the MBR (FixMBR) first, then you can format the disk as part of the normal OS install.
Don't forget to delete the entry from EEM or it will be taking up a licence still.
