      Hi,

      Last few days i have some problems with my McAfee. The problem is:

      When i boot my computer there is nothing wrong but after a several minutes McAfee say that Internet & Network need ' Action Required' it says that several components are missing also the fix button won't help. Before this sometimes all the components need 'Action Required' but if i reboot the computer it will go away. I haven't that problem for a few days but now 'Internet & Network' keeps saying it also after reboot.

      Also i have scanned my computer for trojan and virus with "Malwarebytes", "Spybot-Search & destroy" and "SUPERantispyware" and they couldn't find anything.

          try to check the exact message you are getting on the right side of the internet and network once you click on it. or you can run mcafee virtual technician from http://mvt.mcafee.com/mvt/default.asp

            I have runned McAfee Virtual Technician and this is the report:

            I'm not sure what product upgrade required means. My license is till 12/02/2010.

              It appears that Virtual Technician is detecting remnants of an older version of Personal Firewall.

              It might help to do the following after temporarily enabling Windows Firewall for protection:

              1. Uninstall all McAfee programs through "Add or Remove Programs" in Windows "Control Panel".

              2. Use the MCPR tool, see this article: How to remove supported McAfee consumer products using the McAfee Consumer Products Removal tool (MCPR.exe). This will remove all McAfee remnants from your computer. (you must have Windows Vista, XP or 2000 SP4 to use this tool)

              3. Launch Windows Explorer and delete all McAfee files in "Program Files" but especially in "C:\Document and Settings\<user>\Application Data" and "C:\Document and Settings\All Users\Application Data". You have to set Windows Explorer to show all hidden files and folders (Tools > Folder Options > View tab). Just delete the McAfee folders even if they are empty in all the "Application Data" folders. Can be more than one!
              In Vista: C:\Program Files, C:\ProgramData and C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming
              If you can't find these files don't worry. It just means that MCPR has done its job.

              4. Reboot and redownload/reinstall your McAfee products directly from your account at the McAfee web site, not from any CD thyat you may have.
