    Prompt user before deleting files

I have Security Centre 9.3 and Virus Scan 13.3

Can we force McAfee to prompt the user before it decides to delete files. I'm happy to have protection, but not at the expense of not being the one to accept file quarantine or deletion.

Cleaning is the default and is controlled by the DATs. Pretty much anything that is cleaned should be quarantined (backed up).

Unfortunately, as far as I know, there is no user interface option for a prompt for the action to take. In fact, I do not think there is an option to change the default action.

Here are some of the values of actions I know of in the registry:
          HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\McAfee\VSCore\On Access Scanner\McShield\Configuration\Default\ "uAction" [reg-dword]
          2 - prompt
          4 - delete
          5 - clean
          7 - deny

If you set it to prompt... well it depends on the UI to respond and at this point it won't.

          The Defaults
Virus - Clean (actions in *clean.dat), then delete if clean fails.
          Unwanted Programs - Deny Access
Cookies - Clean, Deny if fail
