install the driver?
how about some more information about the context of the problem, like product/version/os for starters?
Endpoint Encryption 5.1.9
Windows 2003 sp2
I install full encryption on the server. When I restarted and looked at the status I received e0020018: Endpoint Encryption disk driver not present. Also, encryption did not initiate.
Sounds like a SCSI disk configuration that isn't supported. Is this a virtual machine?
It's not virtual. It's a HP DL380 P400 controller, RAID 5, using Windows Server 2003 64bit sp2.
could be a problem, especially as EEPC does not support W2003 64bit..
The EEM will work fine, but the encryption client was never designed to support that OS and it does not work at all. There's not even any removal process - you'd have to hand remove it, clearing up the registry as you go.
Only the 64bit Vista variants are supported. Not the server class OS's
I read on the knowledge base that EEPC build 5701 supported W2003 server 64bit. Is it just not tested yet? Removal will only work with Wintech?
EEM is supported on W2003 64, not EEPC.
You don't need SafeTech/WinTech as the disk is not encrypted. You don't have any pre-boot do you?
I think you confused EEPC (Client) and EEM (Management) in the doc.
