Sales questions should be directed to Customer Service, top of this page, second from left.
You can speak by phone (London) or use online chat live or email them.
Thanks for that. I did chat to customer services, but the guy wasnsn't sure and kept insiting that any upgrades are done online. However, I have customers and an annual Internet Security update is a good revenu stream for me, plus many of my customers aren't confident with online purchases or the fact that the subscription is automatically renewed with out their control. I have no problem with that, but would much prefer an on going commision payment from McAfee, as I'd obviously loose out (I am an affiliate for people who purchase online).
Anyway, I have purchased the upgrade disc, as from the conversation, I gethered that when installing, you need to select login rather than create an account, for the subscription to be updated.
I'm sure you are right but we have no connection with the sales side here. Is it OK now then?
Havent installed on clients computer yet, but will do with in the week, when their current subscription expires.
If I remember, I'll post back, then you'll know for any future questions that may be raised.
As far as I know "upgrade DVD" are just the same as the regular DVDs. The box has a license that states you're only allowed to use it if you pown a previous version of McAfee (check the box for the exact details). But I do not think the installer checks for a previous installation or asks for an old CD to be put in the CD-ROM player to be checked...
It's all about customers being honest here, I think, as to whether they qualify for this product.
