we sync on the windows password - it doesn't matter who your network provider is.
if of course your windows and network (Novell) passwords are different, we're never going to capture the Novell one - but that seems unlikely?
Our Windows and Novell password are synced through IDM. But when I do a full Novell login the password for SB does not update. If I login "workstation only" (which is just logging into windows) the passwords sync just fine.
For some reason SB will not see the AD password if I fully authenticate on Novell.
are you talking about capture for SSO, or syncing the password for the user?
syncing only occurs on a network change event, or if SSO fails for some reason.
Capture for SSO
so if you clear a users SSO credentials, then do a full Novell login, EEPC does not capture the user name and password for replay?
that seems very odd as we get that from Windows itself - it has little to do with the Novell Gina.
I'm assuming this is XP though, if it's Vista it would be expected - we don't provide support (at this time) for Novell under Vista, only Microsoft's credential provider.
That is correct. But if I bypass the Novell login by using workstation only, it works just fine. I don't really care about having full SSO. I just want to passwords the same.
We are on XP SP3 and our Novell client is 4.91 SP4.
