the most usual thing is you didnt assign the user to the machine group/machine.
check the client log, it will tell you what users it downloaded.
and, go back to the quickstart guide and make sure you didn't miss any steps.
I'm doing an offline installation so the server is not connected for a client log. Should the client log be on the client drive? How can I get past the endpoint login screen? Is there a defualt user name and password?
no, there's no defaults.
what users where assigned to the group/machine you created the offline install set from? use one of those.
if you didn't assign anyone, you are sunk completely - it's a security product and you just installed it and told it not to allow anyone (including yourself) to log in.
did you tell it to encrypt the drives? If not you could use fixMBR from a rescue CD, but be warned, as soon as the machine boots up it will re-enable protection.
Thanks for the advice. I restored the master boot record as you suggested and got it to boot. I will go back regroup now.
my advice would be to print and read the quickstart guide - it will get you a working environment.
