Have you generated a certificate for the server, imported into the store and updated the sbhttp.ini with the cert name?
no? have not read anything about that in the quick start guide? can you explain ?
In my documentation it is chapter 18 of the Management Center v5 Administrators Guide.pdf
are you referring to webhelpdesk? what page in the admin guid I am also using v 188.8.131.52
if you're following the quickstart guide, you misread a section - you're not meant to be starting the HTTP server, you're meant to be starting the Database Server ;-)
Go to the registry and make sure that the service is pointing to the right database. In the server, go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE_SYSTEM_CURRENTCONTROLSET001_SERVICES_SAFEBOOTHTTPSERVER and change the image path. Do this also on currentcontrolset002 and currentcontrolset (sometimes currentcontrolset sets up without a problem after you do 001 and 002).
Hopefully this helps.
**EDIT**-Off course I am talking about something like this C:\Program Files\McAfee\Endpoint Encryption Manager\SBHTTP.EXE
