Upgrade to latest 5.x or disable hibernate. 4.x had a history of not handling hibernate well.
Thanks for the help, but where do i need to disable Hibernate? Is it in the machine properties on safeboot or in the windows?
I experience the same problem on all my computers (LENOVO) in the company.
After going into Hibernate, I am trying to wake up the computer.
A message saying "The system could not be restarted from its previous location because the restoration image is corrupt" appears. Clicking this message, the computer starts freshly.
I am using 5.1.8. I am using Password Only Authentication.
Disabling Hibernate is not a possible solution for me,
* since Hibernation already worked in earlier versions
* the users need the hibernation mode.
call your McAfee support folks... there is a patch for this in 4.2
Or like the other poster said, just upgrade... much better product than the 4.2 you are running.
Can you give some information about the patch, you are referring to, for the version 4.2
... I did call the Support folks, they could not help me. I am also using the newest version (5.1.8)
For version 4.2 i know for a fact there is a patch. I used it at a job i did over a year ago. It worked perfectly. I dont have any more info on the patch, you will have to call McAfee and escalate if you have too.
As far as version 5.1.8 i am using hibernation with no errors or problems. Tested on several models too.
