The backup subsystem has a few problems and missing functionality. There are quite a few posts detailing them and asking for a resolution or at least for an ETA. So far I didn't hear [or see a message] from McAfee R&D (a) acknowledging the problems; and (b) telling the customers what & when they plan to do about those. Tech support may be well meaning but they are totally powerless to address these issues - it is an R&D commitment. My ability to reliably back up all my files, not just the ones McAfee 'believes in', will drive my decision to stay with them or to switch to [gasp] Norton.
