The back of the manual has the required specs, and there's also a quickstart guide which tells you how to get things working.
are you doing all this without McAfee helping? Usually people want us to come in and get them started, especially for something so mission critical.
Hi thanks for your prompt reply.
I'm actually doing the 30 day evaluation which I downloaded from your ftp server. I cannot however see any install guide once extracted. Once tested, I'll be integrating to ePO.
the quickstart guide is in the documents directory - print that out and follow it and you'll have a working environment in less than 30minutes.
it skips lots of stuff, but you can always go back and change that afterwards.
I'm still having trouble installing onto 2003 server. I can install successfully on a pc but when istalling on the server (where it will be going live).
SB installs ok but when creating the database this is the error I get:
Error db020001: Unable to update attribute
Doing my head...lol. happy
I've just tried to install on another Win2003 server and get the same error...???
Has anyone else successfully installed on a 2003 platform?
lots of people have it running on w2003.
exactly where does it show that? can you paste that bit of the log? Usually it means you don't have enough rights on the dir you picked for the policy store.
you either have a bad download, or there's something blocking writing of that file (like an AV product).
I would try creating the DB in another directory, local perhaps, and I would certainly get the latest (5502) version of the product if you're just starting out.
I had to disable McAfee VSE whilst I install SB. All ok now. Ooo the irony lol.
Many thanks for your help. happy
