Errors on inital sync creating machine object

Edit: This turned out to be working as designed, the only flaw was not thoroughly reading the documentation. There was *no* software issue.

Hi there, I'm finally trying to finish troubleshooting an issue I've had going on for some time. I had a ticket going with McAfee support, but frankly lost interest when they insisted that I use SafeTech to re-install the client - even though I could replicate the issue at will on freshly installed machines.

Anyway, here is the problem. After installing the client package on a pc, the client will sync and sort of pull users, but not create the workstation object in the server console. There will be db010003 errors on the client side. If I try to help this along by manually creating the object on the server, db000005 errors show up on the console. See below from the log.

After manual creation of workstation object.

Now the good part. If I take the SBXFERDB.SDB from the client and import it into the server (selecting the right group), everything works like it should. It sync's and gets the machine settings and proper user list. From then on out, there are *no* sync issues. Its just the initial sync.

      Any thoughts?

      Thanks!
