Windows 10 1703: EPS causing Exploit Prevention causing start menu to be excessively slow

    willm1

      Hello,

We are using McAfee Endpoint Security 10.5 (10.5.2.2072) in our environment and have issues on some windows 10 1703 64-Bit machines.

The observed problem is that the Windows 10 start menu will be excessively slow. As an example, trying to type in the start menu search will often result in half of the characters entered being lost unless you wait for each character to populate before typing another. Trying to type www.google.com would come out as wwgoo.com as an example.

Disabling the "Exploit Prevention" function of EPS returns the start menu behavior to normal.

      Has anyone encountered this before?
