    mcsvhost connecting to router

    needsomehelp

Hello. I use a program to monitor connections my computer makes and have been noticing something odd and would like some help to determine if this is normal behavior or not.

For a long time, I've noticed mcsvhost connecting to my router on ports 80, 139, 445, and an apple service port. The connections were brief, lasting only a few seconds and closing,, and only occur when I first connect to the internet. I am on a wired connection, so it happened shortly after plugging in the ethernet cable. Some time last week, my router lost it's connection to the internet and since then all of these connections have stopped occurring. I have made no changes to my Security Center software or my router.

Is there any reason for this to be happening? I always assumed these connections was McAfee checking security, but any time your computer starts acting differently out of the blue, you start to worry.

My main concern is that something may have happened to my router, an attack or something of that nature. I don't regularly experience dropped connections and haven't since this. Could someone please help me out and let me know if this is something McAfee changed or if I should be checking other things. All malware scans on the computer come up good and MVT reveals no problems.

      Thank you.
