    cmdagent.exe /s - not responding

      I'm having problems with getting VSE deployed to one of our servers.

      The agent installs, but then it fails to respond to any commands (including /s to force display of the GUI).

      Restarting the server after agent installation doesnt work.

      Reinstallation of the agent doesnt work.

      Unable to view agent log via browser.

      On shutting down the server, i get a McTray.exe failure and need to stop it.

      Only happening on this one server, only installed the OS yesterday... Server 2003.

          Are there any errors in the agent log when the agent starts up?

            Where is the location of the raw log file?

            I can't see it under C:\Program Files\McAfee\Common Framework\

              The default location is C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\McAfee\Common Framework\DB\agent_<machinename>.log

                  was the agent installed manually or via epo?
                  if manually was it with gui?
                  if with gui was it done as /console in rdp session?

                    Agent was deployed via EPO using the same credentials we always used (have deployed successfully today to other clients with that account).

                      and what agent version?

                          SP1 or SP2??? I know that agent 4.5 does not install on W2K3 SP1
