Anyone who can assist us maby?
We install the McAfee agent onto our builds, but the last thing we do before the image is taken is to stop (not disable) the McAfee Framework Service, and delete the GUID, MacAddress, IP Address and PC Name keys from the Agent part of the registry. This means when you have built the PC and specified it's name before you log into it, it's McAfee agent is already working and tied to that specific PC.
What we do is then create a Deployment task for VirusScan in the Lost&Found group in EPO so when the new PC's agent polls into EPO for the first time, it automatically starts deploying VirusScan. This method works perfectly, and the only time you have to worry about updating your image is if you want to use a newer version of the McAfee Agent.
Hope that helps.
Thats also exactly what we do
We do not have the Framework service in the image. We are pushing it through GPO, and I am also doing AD sync, and I also have SCCM (SMS) checking it and if it's not there is pushes it as well.
